Chewters partners with some of North America’s leading chocolate brands to produce some of the continent’s prominent chocolate brands that are distributed across conventional and natural channels.

Our 60,000 sq. ft. plant in Delta, BC, just south of Vancouver, features a research & development lab and 3 full production lines paired with diverse packaging capabilities.

CHOCOLATE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LAB

Our research and development lab is capable of taking your chocolate vision and turning it into reality. Specializing in recipe development, 3D mold design, viscosity, inclusions/one shot ratios, mixing and blending; our in-house chocolatiers with over 40 years of chocolate making experience, will partner with you to develop a product to exceed your expectations. Our lab machinery is capable of small trial production that can replicate full-scale plant production.


CHOCOLATE MOLDING

Our molding capabilities will enable you to deliver unique, quality products at scale. We are capable of molding Solids and Solids with a Variety of Inclusions and manufacturing products via precision One-Shot Depositing with a variety of centers including: caramels, nut-butters, truffle centers and other fillings. We have produced a variety of shapes including cups, domes, thins and other filled shapes.

Molding machinery includes:

  • 650 x 275 mm SACMI one-shot moulding plant with daily output of 25,000 lbs. Features 2 separate one-shot depositors for multi layering / decorating, 3D book-moulding module and insert de-nesting module.

  • 625 x 205 mm Imperial one-shot moulding plant with daily output 20,000 lbs. Features inclusion mixing and on-clusion decoration module.

  • 625 x 205 mm Imperial one-shot moulding plant with daily output 30,000 lbs. Features inclusion mixing, on-clusion decoration module and paper cup de-nesting module.


CHOCOLATE MELTING AND TEMPERING

Our factory also features over 300,000 lbs of melting capacity with dedicated melting, holding, tempering and cooling for different chocolates, coatings and fillings that include: Organic, Conventional, No Sugar, Flavored, Functional, Dark, Milk, White, Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Hazelnut, Coconut, Creams and Caramel.

PACKAGING CAPABILITIES

Once the chocolates have been moulded, we have a variety of packaging options including wrapping, cartoning, bagging and case-packing. Some highlights of our packaging equipment include:

  • Tuck, Envelope and Die-fold tablet wrapping (up to 400 pcs / min)

  • Bunch, Single and Double Twist wrapping (up to 1,200 pcs / min)

  • High-speed Flow Wrapping with or without multipack and U-Board capabilities (up to 1,500 pcs / min)

  • Top-Load Cartoning of tablets and multipacks (up to 30 cartons / min)

  • Vertical Form Fill and Seal bagging of pillow, DOY and 4-corner bags (up to 100 bags / min)

  • Horizontal Form Fill and Seal bagging of DOY bags (up to 120 bags / min)

  • Pre-Made Block Bottom bagging of roll top bags (up to 60 bags / min)

  • Automatic Case-packing of bags and cartons in Shelf Ready Wrap-Around, RSC and Ledgetray Cases (up to 20 cases / min)
